    Liposuction / Liposculpture

Liposuction consists of reduction, removal of persistent fat pads which remain on the body even after dieting and exercising. Most common regions of the body that are subjected to this procedure are the abdomen, flanks, thighs, knees, double chin, arms. A candidate for liposuction is any person who suffers from localized excess fat, which has been non-reactive (resistant) to previous dieting and/or exercising. This is the procedure of choice, especially in cases when the skin is still elastic enough and there is no need to remove excess skin. Near the location from where the excess fat deposit will be removed, a small incision is made. A saline solution mixed with local anesthetic will be injected in the subcutaneous tissue, in order to reduce post op swelling and bruising and to facilitate extraction of fat. A small tube attached to a vacuum machine is then inserted to the subcutaneous fatty tissue through the incision. Excess fat is “sucked” from the desired region with the vacuum. And finally, a single suture is placed at the previously made incision site. Results are permanent. After the procedure, the treated region often becomes responsive to dieting and exercising, usually not the case before the procedure, hence the state can further improve, but also deteriorate if You don’t abide a healthy, moderate nutrition and an exercise plan
